English interior

Noble and refined, the English style in the interior has been formed over many centuries. Its main features were determined around the middle of the 18th century, when massive dark wood furniture and contrasting interior design in light, muted colors came into fashion.

Oak panels and green cloth on the tables, expensive parquet and a fireplace, strong and durable chairs, bookcases, leather sofas with wide armrests - the English style is often called the cabinet, as it contributes to the creation of a business environment, restrained and aristocratic.

Another thing is when it comes to the decoration of residential premises, in which great importance is attached to fabrics. Let's accept, not frivolous silk and expensive velvet, but a tapestry with a fancy pattern. It is with its help that a certain softness and comfort are introduced into the classic English style, which allow you to decorate any room in a restrained and aristocratic way - be it a living room, a bedroom or a study.

Elite carpets in rooms designed in the English style play a special role. They are not only the final touch in the decor, but also serve as protection for expensive parquet.

Therefore, it is not surprising that in old English houses not only living quarters were lined, but even corridors and stairs, which were necessarily waxed on especially solemn occasions.

Nevertheless, one should not underestimate the role of stylish English-style carpets. After all, the aesthetic load on them is quite large. Such products are very rarely solid and, as a rule, are selected in accordance with the tapestry upholstery of antique furniture.

Ideally, the pattern of the carpet should repeat the patterns on the fabric, then that amazing harmony is achieved, which is characteristic of rooms designed in the English style.
