Massive brawl between workers and security at the Wildberries warehouse in Elektrostal: police detained more than 10 violators
According to the press service of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the city of Elektrostal in the Moscow region, on February 8 of this year, on the territory of the warehouse premises of Wildberries, the second most popular online trading platform in Russia, a conflict occurred between employees of this company. The conflict suddenly escalated into a mass brawl, requiring the intervention of law enforcement officers.
The police clarify that, according to preliminary data, the initial cause of the conflict was a violation by one of the warehouse workers of the established corporate regulations that determine the procedure for assembling goods in the warehouse.
This fact was revealed by the foreman of the night shift of Wildberries warehouse workers. The foreman’s instruction about the need to strictly adhere to the regulations was negatively perceived by one of the night shift workers and a fight broke out between them.
Next, the shift foreman called the on-duty group of security officers at the Wildberries facility. However, the arrival of security officers did not extinguish the conflict, but only involved new participants in it, including the security officers themselves.
In connection with this, a police squad was called to the scene of the incident, which, together with a group of security officers, managed to localize and completely extinguish the conflict. As a result of the incident, none of the victims sought specialized medical care, however, more than 10 employees of the Wildberries warehouse were taken to the district police station in order to establish the details of the incident.
The management of the Wildberries company commented on the fight in which it noted that in addition to the investigation conducted by the police, the company will be required to conduct an internal audit in order to prevent the recurrence of such emergency situations.
The incident itself was recorded by a standard video camera installed in the warehouse. Looking at the video footage, it can be assumed that more than 100 company employees took part in the brawl.
