Nike x Jacquemus Après Ski: Luxury Ski Fashion and GORE-TEX Technology

French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus, renowned for his ability to transform utilitarian objects into objects of desire, turned to his personal archive of vintage 1980s gear to breathe new life into the world of high-tech mountain clothing. The result? Provocation. Style. Functionality.

The latest chapter in the Nike and Jacquemus partnership is a bold step from the scorching asphalt of the metropolis to the crisp snow of the Alpine mountain ranges. The Après Ski collection was conceived as a bridge between the world of high-performance materials and the inimitable aesthetic of the French couturier, blurring the line between technical equipment for the slopes and elegant style for lounging in a mountain chalet.

This is a very personal story for me. I've loved skiing since childhood—it's my favorite sport and the best winter pastime. I've always been fascinated by skiwear, and I've amassed an impressive collection of vintage '80s pieces. This collaboration with Nike is a chance to bring a fresh fashion twist to our partnership and to the ski community, something I'm doing for the first time.

The 18-piece collection is meticulously designed to meet the needs of everyone involved in winter recreation. Whether you're a snowboarder, skier, or simply a mountain resort enthusiast, you'll find it all here. Uncompromising functionality is at the core. Three-layer jackets and pants take center stage. GORE-TEX, ready for any challenge, from heavy snowfall to a social event after skiing.

A true gem is the two-in-one GORE-TEX convertible jacket. It ingeniously combines a wind- and waterproof outer shell with a removable bomber-style inner jacket. Innovative insulation provides warmth. Primaloft, and the collaboration is evident in the Swoosh logo on the chest and Jacquemus branding on the shoulders. The women's version of the jacket also utilizes waterproof technology, but it's packaged in a more streamlined, tailored silhouette that unmistakably references key pieces from the Jacquemus core line.

Working with technical fabrics, learning from the best and creating a minimalist yet contemporary take on the Jacquemus style was an incredibly exciting process.

More than just outerwear

In addition to jackets, the collection offers a complete wardrobe for active wear and comfortable relaxation. Here are just a few items:

  • Women's woven jumpsuit: Creates a form-fitting yet comfortable silhouette thanks to soft, water-repellent fabric.
  • Leggings: Borrowing the best from loungewear, they feature an ultra-high waist and stylish stirrup hem.
  • Bralette: A lightweight design with a gracefully curved edge completes the feminine portion of the capsule.
  • Men's long sleeve: Practical thumb holes make it easy to wear with gloves as a base or insulating layer.
  • Classic shirt: Even this signature Jacquemus menswear staple has received a mountain-themed makeover, with water-repellent fabric, a chest pocket, and a back J-loop.

The current winter release is a logical continuation of the collaboration that began in 2022. Initially, the designers drew inspiration from vintage Nike ACG archives and '90s advertising campaigns. Most recently, the duo unveiled their vision of the Le Swoosh bag, a summer 2024 collection, and even reimagined the legendary Moon Shoe sneakers, once handcrafted by Bill Bowerman.

The Nike x Jacquemus Après Ski apparel collection is now available. November 26 on jacquemus.com and in the brand's boutiques. A global launch on nike.com and at select retailers is planned for December 3.
