At 57, Shania Twain posed nude and talked about menopause

Shania Twain, who is considered 'shameless' by some for posing nude at 57, has spoken out about accepting her 'climacteric body', writes Yahoo Life.

According to the publication, the artist said that she prefers to accept all body changes, so she made several nude photo shoots that convey this message to other women.

"I'm in my 50s and don't have to hide behind clothes," she said.

Shania Twain has always used her voice to protect women, and her latest album, Queen of Me, carries that message with the potential to impact women and provide useful information about menopause.

The artist claims that for her this age, 57 years, is a period of rebirth, when she has a unique opportunity to speak out and demystify some of the taboo topics associated with female aging and menopause.

In a new interview, the singer spoke about love and acceptance of her body. The artist also explained the difference between posing now, at this age, and how she felt when she posed in her youth.

“I can’t even tell you how good it was to pose naked. I wasn't ashamed of my new body at all, I was as shameless as a menopausal woman. I didn’t even have emotions, it was natural, absolutely normal. It's really liberating!" the artist specified.

Initially, the artist had moments of suffering due to aging, and she admitted that she compared her current body to previous versions.

“When I got older, I started to feel a different pressure, that the chest is not as full as before, the skin is not as firm, maybe you should cover up more,” she admitted.

But, at some point, it was these doubts that pushed her to go in the opposite direction. “Wow, my confidence is dropping. My courage is boring. Why am I allowing this?” she said.

And there was a change of perspective. “I accept my body as it changes, as we would from childhood to adolescence, as I should have done with my agitated self in my 20s and 30s, to my menopausal body. I'm not going to be ashamed of it. I am brave in this sense, and I want to share this courage in the work that I direct,” said the artist.
