Lemon, your cleaning ally. How does it help get rid of dirt?

For a clean and sparkling home, try these lemon tricks! This fruit can help you clean brass or copper items, your microwave, or remove rust stains.

Lemon is used in many recipes, but did you know that it can also be used to sanitize your home? Spring cleaning will be easier and faster if you try this:

Cleans brass and copper items

To clean brass and copper products, just apply salt (any kind) to half a lemon and use it to rub the dirty area, then rinse. Just in case, it is recommended to first test the effect of lemon juice on a small part of the object.

Disinfects the microwave oven

The microwave oven can be disinfected using lemons. Place 3/4 cup water and 2 tablespoons lemon juice in a microwave-safe bowl. Let the water heat for 3/4 minutes (or until it boils) and wait 10 minutes. After this time, simply wipe the inside of the microwave with a paper towel. No need to wash.

Air freshener for refrigerator

Your refrigerator will smell fresh with this trick: After cleaning the inside of your refrigerator, all you have to do is put half a lemon on a plate and let it sit. The bad smell will disappear!

For clogged drains

You can solve a clogged drain problem by pouring a tablespoon of baking soda and 4 tablespoons of lemon juice down the drain. Let this mixture sit for 30-40 minutes and add 2 liters of boiling water.

Removes rust stains

Rust stains on kitchen knives are unsightly, but lemon juice can help get rid of them. You just need to wipe the dishes with a kitchen sponge that you previously soaked in juice.

Removes bacteria from grinders

To clean shredders, apply a little lemon juice to the dirty area, then remove stains with half a lemon. Let the juice sit until the stains disappear and rinse with clean water. Simple, right?
